ON-CAMPUS ACTIVITIES & SERVICES ARE NOW OPEN
In light of the recent developments regarding coronavirus COVID-19, we are excited to announce that we have opened our doors again! This includes Monday night Freedom Recovery service and Sunday night Ahop Young Adults service. We want you to know that our priority continues to be the health and safety of our church and our community, so we've put together some guidelines so that we can gather in a responsible way...
Per state restrictions, we will not resume Ahop Youth or Ahop Kids classes during Phase 1. We also will not be able to provide nursery services. Please make arrangements to have your littles with you during service. We recommend bringing things to keep them entertained and happy (coloring books, IPads, snacks, etc.)
The CDC recommends that attendees wear masks and continue to wash their hands regularly. We will be doing our part to sanitize surfaces before, during, and after service to minimize the number of germs you might come in contact with.
The CDC also recommends that anyone planning on attending service take their temperature before arriving to ensure that they aren't running a fever and potentially carrying the virus.
If you are over the age of 65 or fall into one of the high-risk categories OR if you are feeling ill, we encourage you to stay home. We will continue to provide our Live Service stream at 11am on Sundays on our Ahop Church TV YouTube channel, so you don't have to worry about missing out on a great service!
To limit the number of people in the building at one time, we are asking families to choose to attend one service based on their last name. We are suggesting that those whose names begin with A-M attend the 9am service and those whose last names begin with N-Z attend our 11am service.
To minimize personal contact, our greeters will not be permitted to stand at the doors, but don't worry, they'll still offer you a friendly "hello" and a social distanced high five! We also won't be handing out paper copies of "The Scoop", so make sure you download our Ahop Xenia app so you have access to important weekly information (see the "Other Ways You Can Stay Connected" to get the app).
Here are a Few Other Ways We'll be Minimizing Personal Contact:
Staggered seating during service
No Community Time during service
Special restrictions for requested prayer during service
We'll be posting more details regarding the guidelines for this phase over the course of the next week. One thing we can tell you, though, is that during Phase 2 we're so excited to provide services for our kids again!
We'll be offering Youth & Elementary service at 11:00 am, as well as toddler and nursery services (11:00 am service only).
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN STAY CONNECTED
We're excited to get back together in service, but for now, if you feel like you'd rather stay home, you can still join most of our services and, small groups, and bible studies virtually. We're thankful for platforms like Facebook, Youtube, and our Ahop Xenia mobile app that have allowed us to stay connected in meaningful ways! If you haven't already, join us in the following places:
